Coping in Quarantine : Coffee

I am not a coffee snob, if it has the word coffee on it I will drink it whether it's instant or from a cafe. To be fair some coffee is obviously better than others; I'd take a Gloria Jean's coffee over Starbucks and I'd take the coffee from the coffee shop near where I work over both of those. But sometimes beggars can't be choosers.

Due to being in a harder lockdown again, I'm confined to home more and what is a coffee addict in the middle of satans oven kind of summer to do? Well find the nearest place that can make iced coffees and that's what I did, it's within walking distance.

I've become a frequent buyer, the coffee isn't the best. You can taste that it's cheap beans, you know that mild taste of cheap beans? If you do you'll know it's not the best but it does the job and the baristas have kind of gotten to know me. My mask is lil vampire fangs and the one lady likes to make jokes about me out and about during the day, I appreciate her humor.

Last week I went and got an iced coffee there almost every day of the week because we were experiencing a particularly hot summer's week and I was feeling incredibly lethargic. My only solution was iced coffee, I have convinced myself that the only way I can function as a writer is to drink copious amounts of caffeine.
