creepy collection

I have to say trying to find horror merch in Durban is not easy, you have to have patience, internet connection, and a decent amount of disposable cash. Oh and time to waste looking everywhere for at least one Pop Funko that relates to my books. But that is my own journey.

I have been able to find some horror-related stuff through lots of time spent scouring the internet, local South African businesses, thrift shops, and of course the mall.

The only reason I ever go on Facebook is to shop on a local business that I found on there, called Spiritually geeky.  I've bought some really unique jewelry from this little online shop, one piece of jewelry I, unfortunately, won't be able to show you because I got drunk and lost it.  But I can show my absolute favourite piece.

 Spiritually geeky

I really love this little online store, one of the few places that have spooky stuff, it's a small business, I found on Facebook. The fact that it's a small business, "gives me an excuse" to buy a crap ton of products. I was able to find a Wednesday necklace, which is the aforementioned absolute favourite item. They sell a variety of products; houseware, some clothing items for babies, clothes for adults, etc. Its the only store I've found that sells spooky jewelry that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Pop Funko

What would a creepy collection be without some pop funkos. Can I tell you it's incredibly difficult to find a variety of horror characters in South Africa, see soooo many of basically every kind from people overseas. But no no no I must struggle and if I want to take the chance and buy off one of the many random sites that I find, but I don't want to take the chance and have my card information stolen. I have however found 2 easily. I have also managed to find some other horror characters on trusted sites. Paid day can't come quick enough. I can't complain too much though, I did manage to snag myself a Pop Funko Soda of Leatherface and I literally couldn't be happier about it.

Clothing

Cotton On thankfully did a range of horror movie shirts for Halloween, I managed  to snag myself two spoopy t-shirt's. Annoyingly the men's section was where the horror movie t-shirts were, the ladies section had witchy themed shirts. They had the classic horrors, Friday the 13th, Scream, Halloween; you know the quintessential horror gang. The shirts I got were Scream and Goosebumps. Mr Price has also tried to play ball with a wicked cool Jurassic Park sweatshirt I know some people don't consider Jurassic Park a horror, but its close enough for someone grasping at straws for horror merch. And as far as I'm considered it has horror aspects.

Books

Now I obviously have a decent amount of horror books, they easy to get. I'm an anxious ball of a human, being who I am, I had to buy a colouring book. The only problem with loving horror is that clowns are apart of the genre ( with good reason). The only grief I have with the colouring book is it has a huge scary clown to colour in ( absolutely no thank you!!!) the rest of the book is beautiful in the most morbid way. Words can't really do justice to how horrifyingly amazing is it (pictures will be included). The book is a masterpiece, I'm dipping my toe into Junji Ito. 10\10 would recommend, I will definitely be buying more of his work. I'm not going to go into too much detail here because I plan on doing a stand alone review because I loved this book.
